Don’t expect to capture a photo worth framing, due to the distance of the image we’re capturing, and the extreme contrast.
Use a Solar Filter in front of your camera lens (or extended lens if you’re attaching one to your phone).
Do NOT, ever look at the sun during the eclipse. Permanent damage to your vision/eyes are likely.
