3 Tips to Reduce Eye Strain Using a Computer for Hours

Computer Vision Syndrome strikes when viewing digital screens for extended periods

Practice these three tips to ensure your eye-health when using a computer screen for long hours during your work day:

  1. Optimally, the computer screen should be 15 to 20 degrees below eye level (about 4 or 5 inches) as measured from the center of the screen
  2. The computer display should be a distance  of about 20 to 28 inches from the eyes.
  3. For every 20 minutes of computer viewing, look into the distance for 20 seconds to allow your eyes a chance to refocus.
